Based on legislation or established policy, CIBG makes decisions, registers data, links data, issues licences and exemptions. It also supports commissions and colleges with an advisory or supervisory role in healthcare.
As an implementing organisation, CIBG offers citizens, professionals and organisations transparent and reliable data and information in the healthcare and welfare sector. Well-known CIBG products and services include the BIG register, Donor Register, Veterinary Medicine Register, National Register of Healthcare Providers, Office of Medicinal Cannabis, National Implant Register and export licences for pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
