As a tree nursery in eastern Noord-Brabant, we are surrounded by nature and biodiversity. We are already doing a lot in this area. However, we want to broaden our focus to all SDGs and map out in what way we already contribute to the SDG’s. The next phase is the communication to our 150 employees, so they know what their company does in this area. We would like your help with this.
As a tree nursey, to what extent is Tree Nursery Ebben contributing to the SDGs? And how can Ebben best communicate its sustainability efforts internally and nudge their employees to communicate this externally?
Tree nursery Ebben is a family business founded in 1862, where the passion for greenery has been in the blood for five generations. With a team of 180 colleagues we grow multi-stem trees, avenue and park trees and solitary shrubs on an area of more than 550 hectares.
In cooperation with landscape architects, urban planners, green contractors and arborists, we realise impressive projects throughout Europe. Our professional team also advises on application, biodiversity, ecological value, colour, shape and texture.
By constantly looking closely at nature – the way it conducts and sustains itself – we continue to develop our know-how to grow. For us, know-how to grow also means thinking and looking beyond growing and delivering trees. Climate change, more extreme weather, heavy rainfall or prolonged dry periods, these are issues that call for a different design of our living environment and this is what we are working on every day.
